Twitter prohibited: Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, mandates prosecution of people still using Twitter

                The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN has pointed the instant prosecution of offenders of the Federal Government ban on Twitter operations in Nigeria.

According to a statement publicized by his media aide, Umar Gwandu, Malami directed the Director of Public Prosecution of the Federation (DPPF) to swing into action and begin the process of prosecution of violators of the Federal Government De-activation of operations of Twitter in Nigeria.

“Malami directed the DPPF to liaise with the Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy, National Communication Communication (NCC) and other important government agencies to make sure the speedy prosecution of offenders with no procrastination.” the statement reads in part
