NPFL21: Wikki Tourists endures fourth straight defeat

Nigeria Professional Football League side, Wikki Tourists Football Club of Bauchi on Wednesday noted its fourth straight league defeat after losing 2-1 to visiting Enyimba International FC of Aba at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium (ATBS) in Bauchi.

It will also be traced that the club’s chief coach, Usman Abdallah, had earlier resigned following the team’s poor results.

In this Match Day 23 fixture, Reuben Bala had opened scores for Enyimba after 16 minutes, while WIkki equalized in the 38th minute.

Enyimba scored their second goal in the 67th minute of the match through Tosin Omoleye.

Head Coach of Enyimba International, Fatai Osho, in a post-match interview said it was a hard match that got them points.

He mentioned the match was too tight, and the Wikki Tourists players tried to win at home.

“But it wasn’t easy because of the good fight my boys put in place.”

All efforts to get the reaction of the acting coach of Wikki Tourists, Baba Jibrin, didn’t work out as several of the club’s fans were sadly searching for him.
