Results of the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) have been announced by Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
Fabian Benjamin, the JAMB’s spokesperson who disclosed the announcement through a statement publicized in Abuja on Friday, June 25, said the board was excited over the smooth conduct of the examination.
Benjamin further disclosed that the use of the National Identification Number (NIN) aided in curbing malpractices during the exercise. He added that the results which were not released, are those being investigated.
The statement stated;
“The Board notes with satisfaction that the utilization of NIN (National Identification Number) has aided in curbing examination malpractices as the 2021 UTME has recorded the least incidence of irregularities since the inception of the CBT examinations in Nigeria.
“However, the Board would still review all the CCTV footage and other technical gadgets to fish out of likely examination misconducts.
“Additionally, the Board would not delay withdrawing the results of any candidate subsequently found to have done any form of examination misconduct.”
